Hook 42 is excited to be adding Michelle Darling to our growing team. As a front end developer, Michelle will be focused on web development for our team. Michelle’s past history working with Drupal and Wordpress content management systems is a great addition to the group. We understand being the new person is a little awkward at first, so to break the ice we had Michelle answer a few fun questions. Here’s what Michelle said.
Where are you originally from, and where do you live now?
I live about 40 miles from my birthplace in Champaign, Illinois.
Where is your favorite place you traveled to?
Nederland, Colorado is the most adorable cozy mountain town that I’ve ever been to that also has a grocery store and a gas station. But there is a lot of Colorado I haven’t seen yet, so I’m keeping an open mind.

What is your favorite snack?
Tortilla chips and any or all the things you can dip them in -- guacamole, bean dip, queso blanco.
What inspires you?
Music, books, and art -- I think the common denominator is stories. I love stories almost as much as I love mountains.
What’s an interesting fact about you that people wouldn’t guess?
I genuinely like circus peanuts -- yes, I’m talking about those fluffy-rubbery peachy-pink-colored fake-banana-tasting misshapen blobs that everyone thinks are awful? They keep manufacturing them just for me and the other 37 people who think they’re yummy.

Gillian Welch - Black Star (Radiohead cover)
Note: I’m very vocal about how much I dislike Radiohead so the fact that I love this song says a lot about how good it is.
